Shishak
Shishak was the Egyptian king Sheshonk I. In Rehoboam’s fifth year he invaded Judah, captured fortified cities, and plundered the treasures of Jerusalem’s temple and palace.
Biblical Usage
Shishak sheltered Jeroboam and later attacked Rehoboam in the fifth year of Rehoboam. He took the treasures of the house of the Lord and the king’s house, including Solomon’s gold shields, and made Rehoboam his servant.
