John David Pawson was an English evangelical minister, writer and prominent Bible teacher.
His immediate ancestors were all farmers, Methodist preachers or both, dating back to John Pawson, a friend and follower of John Wesley.
His commentary upon scripture was compelling and powerful, and was perhaps made more so, by his quiet gentlemanly demeanor.
