Sinai
Sinai, also called Horeb, was the mountain district where Israel encamped after the Exodus and entered covenant with God. There the law was given and the nation was organized for its life under the Lord.
Biblical Usage
At Sinai, God’s law was proclaimed to Israel, and the people became an organized nation bound by covenant to serve the Lord. The events recorded there occupy much of Exodus, all of Leviticus, and part of Numbers.
