Sihor
Sihor, or Shihor, means “dark” and usually denotes the Nile. In Joshua it may refer instead to the stream known as the Wadi el-Arish, near Egypt.
Biblical Usage
Isaiah and Jeremiah use Shihor as a name for the Nile. In Joshua and Chronicles, the term is associated with the stream forming a boundary before Egypt.
