SHEWBREAD, TABLE OF
The table of shewbread was the sacred table in the tabernacle and temple on which the bread of the presence was placed. It was distinct from the altar of incense and served the worship of God.
Biblical Usage
The table held the continual bread set before Yahweh. It was part of the tabernacle and temple service and was carried with the sanctuary when the tabernacle was moved.
