Sheep-market
The “sheep-market” of John 5:2 is uncertainly translated. The underlying word may refer to a sheep-gate, or possibly to a pool associated with such a gate.
Biblical Usage
The expression occurs only in the description of the setting of Jesus’ healing at Jerusalem.
