Shawm

A shawm was a wind instrument resembling a clarinet. The term appears in an older English rendering of Psalm 98:6 for an instrument otherwise translated as a cornet.
Biblical Usage
In the Prayer-book version of Psalm 98:6, “shawms” renders the instrument called a cornet in the Authorized Version.
