SHALLECHETH, THE GATE
The Gate of Shallecheth was a gate of the temple area, situated by the causeway that ascended toward the temple. Its name may mean “casting forth,” though the exact function and location remain uncertain.

The gate is named in the account of the temple gatekeepers and was situated at an ascent leading toward the temple.
