SEAT
A seat is a place for sitting, such as a chair or stool. It can also signify a position of rank, influence, or authority, including a chief seat or throne.
Biblical Usage
The Bible uses seat for ordinary places of sitting and for positions occupied by influential or authoritative persons. “Chief seat” refers to places of honor, while several passages use the term for what the Revised Version calls a throne.
