Luke
Luke was a Gentile physician, companion of Paul, and author of the Gospel of Luke and Acts. He remained with Paul during part of his imprisonment.
Biblical Usage
Luke is named among Paul’s fellow workers and is called the beloved physician. The first-person sections of Acts are understood in the supplied material as indicating his presence with Paul. He accompanied Paul toward Jerusalem and Rome and was with him during his first Roman imprisonment.
