LEG
The leg is the limb used for walking and standing, and it can symbolize strength or weakness. In sacrificial law it was part of certain offerings; in the crucifixion account, the legs of the condemned were broken, but not Jesus’ legs.
Biblical Usage
The leg appears in descriptions of human strength, lame weakness, sacrificial portions, and the legs of permitted locusts. In the crucifixion account, the legs of the condemned were broken, but Jesus’ legs were not broken.
