Law
Law is a command or rule established by recognized authority. In Scripture it especially refers to God’s revealed instruction, including the moral, ceremonial, and judicial requirements given to Israel through Moses.
Biblical Usage
The biblical law teaches truth, guides people in the right way, and expresses God’s authority. The ceremonial law governed worship, the judicial law directed Israel’s civil policy, and the moral law expressed God’s will for human conduct.
