Lad means a young person, child, servant, or young man, depending on the context. The term may describe a boy serving others or a young person present at an event.
Biblical Usage
The Old Testament word may mean a young person, child, or servant; in one passage “servant” is the more appropriate rendering. The New Testament uses the term for the boy associated with the feeding of the multitude and for a young man.
